About MELA

MELA was born in a summertime evening of 2006 from intuitivity, creativity and the entrepreneurship of Manuela Girone, also known as Mela! Driven by her passion and believing in "her gift", Mela started from zero remodeling part of her house in a studio. The beauty of her country, la Puglia, gave Mela the perfect frame for her first collection. Manuela is always in contact with Mother Earth and its unreal nuances of colors are a constant source of inspiration, while research on materials, combinations and experimentation are the basis of the magic. The contrast within the different materials is another keynote: linen, silk, laminated cords, leather and fabrics are all organic and the perfect basis to weave together precious and semiprecious stones, baroque pearls - all in an unique, original, Italian style.
