About Danielle Welmond

Danielle Welmond began making jewelry as a young girl in Northern California. Sharing the love for fashion with her French mother, she learned from her the art of weaving, knitting, sewing and beaded jewelry. She also became fascinated with stones at that time when her uncle, a gemologist, would often visit with a suitcase filled with gems. After college in San Francisco she spent several years in France and Italy where she was exposed to fashion and art. Gradually her passion for beautiful clothes and accessories reached expression in her own line of unique jewelry.

After mastering a traditional technique of lace making she applied it to her jewelry using the finest threads in combination with beautiful gems. This approach has since become Danielle's signature style for her jewelry line. She then studied the art of the metalsmith and the lost wax process while apprenticing with jewelry making masters in Los Angeles. Using these techniques, she has created distinctive metal castings to combine with the lace techniques in her jewelry.

And although her jewelry is based on ancient techniques it is embued with a modern sensitivity for fashion. It is very romantic, feminine, playful and beautiful appealing to women worldwide.
