About the Brand
Clementine Porcelain is an amazing company, founded by the husband and wife team of Jesse Ross and Tracy Shell. Their mission is service, not profit:
• 25% of net profits from the sale of Clementine Porcelain are donated directly to the Backpack Program administered by the Food Bank for the Heartland.
The Plate Project:
• Functional porcelain plates are cast and fired by them, then the bisque is decorated by children. The idea is to create a context in which kids can make a real contribution to alleviating child hunger in their own community (also, it’s really fun).
•100% of the net profits generated through this line are donated to the Food Bank
Clementine Project has been selected as an Emerging Designer Maker at the New York International Gift Fair January 2013.
One in five kids in Nebraska and western Iowa under the age of 18 is at-risk for hunger. The BackPack Program is designed to provide food for hungry children at times when other resources are not available, such as during weekends and school vacations.
